From a single salon in Shetland to six Sleeping Beauty locations across Scotland, our story has always been about great treatments, talented people and making every client feel genuinely cared for.
Since then, the business has grown across Scotland while keeping the same belief at its heart: that excellent treatments, knowledgeable therapists and thoughtful little touches can make a real difference to how someone feels.

Where It All Began
Sleeping Beauty was founded in Lerwick, Shetland, beginning the story of the business we know today.
Sleeping Beauty Salon Limited
The business expanded into Inverness and became Sleeping Beauty Salon Limited under the directorship of Lilac Miller and her mother, Glenys Miller.
Edinburgh Expansion
Sleeping Beauty opened its first Edinburgh salon, expanding the brand beyond the Highlands and Islands.
Growing in Inverness
The Margaret Street salon was expanded and an additional Inverness location was opened, strengthening Sleeping Beauty's presence in the Highlands.
Radisson Blu Edinburgh
Sleeping Beauty opened its spa inside the Radisson Blu Hotel on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.
Aviemore & Further Growth
Sleeping Beauty continued its expansion with a location in Aviemore and further development of the business across Scotland.
Six Sleeping Beauty Locations
Today Sleeping Beauty operates six locations across Inverness, Edinburgh, Aviemore and Fort William, continuing to deliver professional beauty and wellbeing treatments with a strong focus on client care.
Lerwick will always be an important part of Sleeping Beauty's history,
as the place where the business began in 1999.
The Sleeping Beauty Lerwick salon closed in November 2025.
The salon is now operated independently under new management
and is no longer part of Sleeping Beauty Salon Limited.
